The Main Event
Prepare yourself for a spectacular immersive experience as you're transported into the story of The War Of The Worlds.
The War Of The Worlds experience will take you on a journey through 24 interactive scenes where live actors, state-of-art virtual reality and sensational multi-sensory effects bring the story to life - all with Jeff Wayne's multi-award double album of The War Of The Worlds as your soundtrack.
It'll be your greatest adventure yet as you come face to face with a 300ft Martian Fighting Machine, sneak into a deserted Victorian house, sail out to sea and witness the battle between the Martians and HMS Thunder Child and fly to Mars in a hot air balloon - Phew!
The experience will last approximately 1hr and 50 minutes which will include a 20 minute interval in the Red Weed Bar to let you get your breath back!
It's truly an amazing experience that puts you in the centre of the action!

Important to Note
Your experience will last for 110 minutes which includes a 20 minute intermission in the RedWeed Bar.
The experience has been created to be enjoyed by both those who are new to the story and fans of the album, so no prior knowledge is required. You’re advised to wear comfortable footwear and clothes you can move in as you’ll need to bend down while walking and crawling, squeeze through narrow tunnels and to get through tight spaces. However if you feel unable to participate there are other routes, simply speak to a member of staff on arrival.
Food and drink are extra and available to purchase on the day *not included in the cost of the experience*

The closest tube stations to the attraction is Aldgate and London Liverpool Street. The closest overground station being London Fenchurch Street Station.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
Who Can Go
- The recommended minimum age is 10 yrs old. Please note that some scenes are very dark with loud noises, which some children my not enjoy.
- Children aged 10 - 15yrs must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Adults must sign a waiver on behalf of anyone under 16. Under 18s must vacate the main bar area by 8pm.
- The experience includes multiple effects which include total darkness, virtual reality, motion simulators, uneven surfaces, confined spaces, air blasts, strobe lighting, pyrotechnics, latex, sudden loud noises, live actors, fog, scent and temperature changes. This combination of effects is designed to immerse guests in the experience and is intended to be impactful.
- This experience may not be suitable for guests who are elderly, pregnant, blind/visually impaired, suffer from high blood pressure, heart conditions, asthma, epilepsy or back/neck conditions.
- This experience may not be suitable for guests who have mobility issues, are wheelchair users, prone to motion sickness, with nyctophobia, autophobia, hemophobia, who are of a nervous disposition, suffer from breathing/respiratory problems such as allergies, with any type of medical condition affecting the sense of smell, vision or hearing, with sensitivities to scent, loud noises or flashing lights, who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Some participants may suffer from a loss of balance, headaches, musculoskeletal pain, dizziness, problems caused by jets of air, fog effects or scents, and in some cases, epilepsy-like symptoms, during or after the experience.
- Some scenes will require guests to bend down whilst walking or crawling. There are alternative routes for guests who do not wish to participate in certain physical activities.
- There are toilets available 50 minutes into the experience in the interval bar. If you require urgent use, a member of the team can support you with this. Urgency cards are available on-site or you can bring your own.
What about Insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

Fabulous experience!
Bought this as a treat for my husband as he loves the book. What a fabulous experience! It truly is an immersive experience, you really feel like you're in the story and the actors and special effects really make it amazing. The food and drink in the bar was great too.

Amazing experience
Thank you very much for organising an amazing experience. I had been before, but really wanted to take the family, and so it was perfect timing to go and celebrate my wife's birthday. It was wonderful to be spoilt for the day, as we had our VIP experience with food, drinks and goodies to bring home. But the thing that really makes it memorable is the experience itself - the actors bringing us into their world, the detailed sets, the spectacular audio-visual effects, and of course Jeff Wayne's pumping score that underpins it all.
