The Main Event

This York’s Chocolate Story Family Package is a fun family day with plenty of chocolatey indulgence.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll step into a world where chocolate is the star of the show. Guided by an expert storyteller, your family will journey through the fascinating history of chocolate, from its ancient beginnings in distant civilisations to York’s rise as the UK’s famous “Chocolate City”.

Along the way, you’ll discover the incredible stories behind York’s legendary chocolate-making families and learn how some of the nation’s best-loved treats were created right here. Interactive exhibits and live demonstrations bring the story to life. Everyone gets to enjoy delicious chocolate samples, and you'll get to watch skilled chocolatiers show off their craft right in front of you.

Then it's time to create and decorate your very own chocolate lolly to take home. It’s a brilliant moment for kids (and grown-ups who are young at heart) to get creative and messy in the best possible way.

To make the experience even more special, each guest can relax with a rich hot chocolate or refreshing iced chocolate drink. And to top it all off, you’ll receive a photo booklet with four printed photos plus digital copies, capturing your family’s sweetest moments of the day.

Fun, interactive, and full of flavour, this family experience is a perfect gift for birthdays, holidays, or simply treating the people you love.

Dietary Requirements: Please advise when booking of any allergies or dietary needs.

This attraction is located in York city centre. Please note that there is no on-site parking, however there are several nearby car parks within walking distance.

Arrive early if you want to enjoy your drink before the tour begins.

Duration: 1hr 15 minutes

Advance booking is recommended, especially during peak times like weekends and school holidays.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Families of up to 5 people. Maximum 2 adults.
Under 4's go free with a paying adult.
The tour is fully accessible.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
