Tucked away in the leafy Cardiff suburb of Radyr, you’ll find something truly special, a Welsh cake making workshop with TV chef and author Nerys Howell.
Upon arrival you'll enjoy a cup of Welsh tea or coffee and homemade cake before being introduced to the star of the day, the Welsh cake. These sweet, griddled treats are the pride of Wales, and no visit to the country would be complete without trying one. First, you’ll watch as Nerys demonstrates how to make them, all while sharing stories and insights into Welsh food traditions. Then it’s your turn to get cooking. Guided step by step, you’ll make your own batch of Welsh cakes, filling the kitchen with their irresistible buttery scent.
The workshop ends with you sitting down to enjoy your warm, freshly cooked Welsh cakes with a glass of Welsh cider or perry. By the time you leave, you’ll have not only tasted Wales’ most iconic recipe but also learned how to make it yourself, ready to impress friends and family back home.

Morning: 10am to 11:30am
Afternoon: 2pm to 3:30pm
Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
