What happens on the day?
If you choose Bacon:
- Learn and use different curing techniques
- Prepare the pork, design a cure and start your bacon curing
- Cold smoke some produce
- Enjoy a lunch with some of the produce you've created
If you choose Duck:
- Learn and use different curing techniques
- Joint a whole duck and cure the various parts
- Cold smoke some produce
- Enjoy a lunch with some of the produce you've created
If you choose Chorizo/Salami:
- Learn and use different curing techniques
- Prepare the cure, mix the sausage filling and stuff into cases using the stuffing machine
- Cold smoke some produce
- Enjoy a lunch with some of the produce you've created
Important Bits
Important to Note
The gift recipient can choose which course they would like to do (bacon, duck or salami/chorizo) when they book in with the supplier.
When
This experience is available on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Timings: 10am to 2pm.
The curing class takes place in the morning followed by a delicious lunch.
Validity
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
What about Insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
