This experience is set with stunning views and gives an insightful look into the art of shepherding with a Border Collie. If anyone watched Clarkson’s Farm, then you saw how skilful these shepherds (or shepherdesses are in this case!) are and they’re not the stereotypical ones you see in children’s books!
Here you spend over 4 hours with a trainer of over 32 years experience where you learn all there is to know about this art. You will have the chance to work with a commercial flock of anything up to 500 sheep at one time, trying your very best to guide the sheepdog to control the sheep.
Meet The Sheep and Work The Sheepdog Farm Experience

Spend 2 hours on a farm in West Yorkshire where you not only get to learn about sheep, but you find out more about the resident sheepdog and his role on the farm!
First you’ll meet the Pedigree Ryeland sheep where you learn about these spritely animals who love nothing more than getting to know new people! Once you’ve done all the photographing and cuddling, you can then move on to see who the real boss of the sheep are!
Learn how the farms working sheepdog keeps everything running smoothly by discovering the commands he works to and even having a go with the shepherd’s whistle! Part of the fun is going to be finding out whether the dog decides to even listen to your commands!
You will also spend time with the farm owner who shares snippets of farming life, from tending the land to the teamwork involved in caring for animals year round. It’s a great few hours out in the countryside, perfect for anyone who loves getting outdoors and learning something new.
