Via Ferrata, meaning “iron path,” is a unique blend of rock climbing and mountaineering, where participants ascend rock faces and traverse ledges using a network of fixed steel cables, ladders, and metal beams. It’s an exhilarating way to explore the rugged beauty of the landscape while pushing your limits in a safe and controlled environment. You’ll climb, balance, and navigate your way across a series of breathtaking routes, all while securely clipped to safety cables and guided by a highly experienced instructor.

The session begins with an introduction to your equipment and the area you’ll be exploring. All essential gear is provided, including a harness, safety cowstails, helmet, and wetsuit. After a detailed briefing, it’s time to get hands-on and start your ascent. Step by step, you’ll make your way up vertical walls, along rocky ledges, and across suspended sections, with every movement offering a new thrill and an unbeatable view.

Once you’ve conquered the heights, it’s time to take the plunge, literally, with a thrilling abseil back down to solid ground. Under the guidance of your instructor, you’ll learn to control your descent and enjoy that unbeatable rush of adrenaline as you glide down the rock face. This 3 hour adventure perfectly balances challenge and fun, making it suitable for all levels of experience, from confident climbers to complete beginners aged 7 and above.

Groups are kept small, with a maximum of 8 participants per instructor, ensuring plenty of one on one support and encouragement. How fit do I need to be?
You will need to have a basic fitness level to participate in this activity, these sessions are classed as beginner level.

The site strives to be as accessible as possible, however, as an adventure park, some areas may be challenging. Please contact the venue for guidance on specific accessibility requirements.

Can I take the whole family?

Anybody aged 7 or over can take part, however, there is a minimum height requirement of 1.4 metres (4’6″).

Those who don’t wish to participate can watch from the bridge, explore the gorge and caves tourist attraction or enjoy relaxed refreshments in the onsite café.

What do I need to bring?

- Comfortable outdoor clothes, you will get a little mucky.

- Sturdy footwear,( eg, trainers walking boots).
