This exclusive VIP experience gives you private time with some of the zoo’s most curious residents, guided by one of the expert zookeepers who know these quirky animals inside out.
Exotic Zoo is home to two very different types of armadillo, and you’ll get to meet them both. First up is the impressive six-banded armadillo, a chunky little character that trundles around like a tiny tank. Despite their tough-looking armour, they’re surprisingly friendly and love a bit of attention. You’ll have the chance to offer gentle head rubs and even hand feed them as they wander over to say hello.
Then it’s time to meet the three-banded armadillos, the smaller, more delicate members of the armadillo family. These tiny wonders are famous for their incredible ability to curl into a perfect ball for protection. Watching them up close is mesmerising, and your keeper will share plenty of fun facts about their remarkable armour and the clever adaptations that help them survive in the wild.
This experience is reserved just for you and your group, giving you plenty of time to ask questions, snap photos, and enjoy the moment without feeling rushed.
Your experience also includes entry to Exotic Zoo for the rest of the day, so you can continue exploring after your armadillo encounter. With a range of exotic animals to discover, it turns your visit into a full day out.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
