If you’re on the hunt for a gift that will genuinely impress a racing fan, this Newmarket Tour Experience is a brilliant choice. It’s a half-day packed with early morning action, behind-the-scenes access and proper racing heritage.

The morning starts at the National Horseracing Museum, where you’ll meet your guide before heading straight to Warren Hill. Seeing thoroughbreds exercising across the famous gallops is something most racing fans only watch on television. Here, you’re right there as strings of horses head out for their morning work, with expert insight into how these historic training grounds shaped the sport.

Next, you’ll step inside a working racing yard for a true behind-the-scenes look. Discover what daily life is really like for trainers, grooms and stable staff, and learn what goes into preparing a horse for race day. From routine care to fitness and feeding, it’s an eye-opening glimpse into the dedication behind every runner.

A coffee break at the Heath Court Hotel gives you time to warm up and chat through the highlights so far before heading to The National Stud. Set within 500 acres of stunning countryside, the stud is home to outstanding stallions including Stradivarius and Bradsell. You’ll meet mares and foals, see this year’s new arrivals and might even spot retired National Hunt legend Lord Windermere.

The experience wraps up back at the museum, leaving you with the rest of the day ahead, and plenty of stories to tell.

Please be advised that tours depart promptly at the scheduled start time so we recommend arriving at the meeting point a minimum of 15 minutes in advance.

Please note this experience does not include entry to the National Horseracing Museum.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Open to all ages.
All children under 18, must be accompanied by an adult.
Please ensure that you dress accordingly for the weather conditions and wear appropriate footwear for your own comfort. Most of the tours are conducted outdoors, and you are likely to be walking on grass and unpaved areas.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
