Join us for an unforgettable beekeeping adventure at Fort Amherst, where you'll delve into the captivating world of these remarkable pollinators.
This immersive 3 hour experience will give you an insight into why bees are so important and need to be looked after and also let you get up close to the bees while they go about their industrious tasks.
Clad in a beekeeper suit, you'll come face to face with these incredible insects, and gain a newfound appreciation for their vital role in our ecosystem.
This beekeeping experience includes a delightful afternoon tea in the Pantry Cafe.
As a memento, you'll be given a jar of honey and a certificate, commemorating your beekeeping experience at Fort Amherst.

Gates open 8.00am
Gates close 7.00pm
Car parking closes 7.00pm

Who Can Go
- Unsuitable for children under the age of 12, all children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
- The is a cafe on site - open 9.30am to 4.00pm Mondays & Saturdays and 10.00am to 2.00pm on Sundays.
- All equipment is provided, however we encourage you to wear long sleeved tops and sensible footwear.
- Afternoon tea not suitable for those on a vegan diet.
What about Insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
