On the 20th of November each year, we are reminded to listen to the youngest voices surrounding us, as they often have the biggest impact. With the 2025 Universal Children’s Day theme, “My Day, My Rights”, adults, communities, and organisations are being encouraged to support children and their opinions.
Universal Children’s Day promotes the rights and welfare of children worldwide. This year’s theme emphasises giving children the space to express themselves and the ability to step out of their comfort zone. Trying new things is one of the best ways to help develop essential skills and gain a sense of accomplishment.
WonderDays highlights the importance of real-life experiences and the impact it has on supporting children’s development, as well as their emotional wellbeing. It encourages creativity, confidence, social skills, resilience, and connection, all essential life skills. Experiences days even strengthen emotional bonds with the people around them. Having a positive effect on expressing themselves and discovering who they are as individuals.

Celebrating them:
Children respond better to experiences than toys and screens, which helps them develop a stronger emotional response and better gratitude towards gifts and their parents.
It gives them new opportunities.
It gives them confidence.
It gives them experiences that extend beyond what they learn in a classroom.
When children are heard, empowered, and encouraged to explore the world around them, they grow into confident and compassionate adults.
