The chocolate adventure begins with a fully guided tour through the captivating story of chocolate. Travel back in time to discover its ancient origins before uncovering how York became one of Britain's most famous chocolate-making cities. Along the way, you'll hear the stories behind the confectionery families that helped shape York's sweet reputation and learn how some of the nation's favourite treats came to life.
Of course, no chocolate experience would be complete without tasting it. Throughout the tour, you'll sample a variety of delicious chocolates, from classic favourites to freshly made creations, while learning how to appreciate chocolate like a true connoisseur.
You'll also get the chance to watch talented chocolatiers demonstrate their craft, offering a fascinating insight into the skill and artistry behind every bite. Then it's time to unleash your own creativity by decorating a chocolate lolly to take home.
During the hands-on truffle rolling workshop, you'll have four luxurious ganache-filled truffles to roll and cover in the finest Belgian couverture chocolate. Dip, roll and decorate your handmade treats exactly how you like them before carefully packaging them up to enjoy later, if you can resist eating them straight away!

This attraction is located in York city centre. Please note that there is no on-site parking, however there are several nearby car parks within walking distance.
Under 4's do not get their own truffles, but they are very welcome to help others in their group.

Advance booking is recommended, especially during peak times like weekends and school holidays.
