Got a need for speed? Then this Top Gun Fighter Jet simulator experience is the one for you.
If you've ever dreamed of manoeuvring a fighter jet through the skies, then this is the next best thing.
The advanced air combat software and 320 degree wrap around screen used in this flight simulator gives you an incredibly realistic experience that you'll feel like you're on your own secret mission!
No experience is necessary, your flying instructor will guide you through take-off and close formation flying followed by some aerobatic manoeuvres to acclimatise you to the g-force, and then you will be introduced to tail chasing and air combat against your opponent.
This flight simulator is regularly used as a “Fast Jet” training aid for professional and trainee pilots however everyone is welcome on this experience from ages 10 upwards.
Overview of this Top Gun Fighter Jet simulator experience:
- Get kitted out in a military flying suit to really look the part and choose your call-sign ("Maverick", "Iceman" etc...) for the session.
- Learn how to fly aerobatics and perform air combat manoeuvres.
- Get comfy in the ejector seat and take the controls of the full size F/A-18 Hornet.
- Launch from the aircraft carrier, manoeuvring in the climb and learn the effects of the aircraft controls and aerobatics manoeuvres.
- (Hopefully!) shoot down the bad guy!
- Perform a fighter pilot flyby re-join to land. (Buzz the Tower!)
- Exit the aircraft and celebrate mission accomplished!
- Debrief with your instructor, review your air combat results and receive a flight certificate with the opportunity to take some photos.
Important Bits
When
This experience is available 7 days a week, 9am to 9pm.
Please note there is a £20 surcharge for a weekend or bank holiday date.
It is recommended to book a date as soon as possible to avoid disappointment of not getting the date you want.
Validity
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
Who Can Go
- Recommended for ages 10 and above.
- Under 16's must be accompanied by 1 adult (free of charge). Spectators 16 and under are free of charge but must be supervised by a paying adult who is not the pilot. Guests are welcome to wait in reception if they don't wish to spectate.
- A £10 charge is required for spectators over the age of 16. This experience can take 4 spectators.
- Maximum height: 6'2 (1.89m)
- Maximum weight: 15 stone (95kg)
What about Insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
