The Main Event

Have you got what it takes to take on the world's longest tunnel Slide?

An exhilarating alternative to the stairs or lift, The Slide will transport you down the ArcelorMittal Orbit at speeds of up to 15 miles per hour and give you the chance to see the London skyline like you've never seen it before.

At 178m long and 76m high, the Slide twists and turns 12 times and includes a tight corkscrew section named the "bettfeder" after the German word for "bedspring".

The Slide ends with a 50m straight run to the ground in a thrilling 40-second trip.

It's definitely an experience to tick off the bucket list!

Before you slide down the ArcelorMittal Orbit, make sure you leave enough time to take in the fantastic views over London.

You can see up to 20 miles into the distance so you'll be sure to see all of London's iconic buildings - Canary Wharf, The O2, The Gherkin, The Shard, The Walkie Talkie, St Paul’s Cathedral, Alexandra Palace and out to Wembley Stadium.

Important to Note

Please allow 1 - 2 hours for your visit to the ArcelorMittal Orbit.

It is recommended that tickets for The Slide are booked in advance as tickets can sell out fast and entry cannot be guaranteed on the day.

You must be at the top of the orbit ready for your time slot for the slide ride - please ensure you arrive in plenty of time so you can enjoy the views from the top. You only get 1 slide per ticket.

All visitors enter the ArcelorMittal Orbit via the Welcome Building. There is a wheelchair accessible gate here and from this point visitors can enjoy step-free access throughout the attraction and up to both Viewing Platforms via the two lifts. The journey in the lift lasts approximately 34 seconds.

ArcelorMittal opening times:

Monday – Thursday 12pm– 5pm

Friday – Sundays 10am – 6pm

The Slide will open 1 hour after the attraction opens.

A specific date and time slot needs to be booked in advance for The Slide.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket to enter the attraction.
Sliders must be at least 1.3m in height and weigh under 130kg (22stone).
Minimum age for the slide is 8 years of age.
Sliders must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Loose clothing, large jewellery, bags, large belongings or inappropriate footwear is not allowed on the slide. There are a limited number of lockers available at the base of the sculpture for you to store belongings. You'll need a £1 coin to operate the locker and this is refundable.
You are not allowed to slide if you have a heart condition, back or neck injuries, claustrophobia, vertigo, if you are pregnant or if you have any condition that prevents you from following all of the safety rules and guidelines.
Male, female and disabled toilets are located on the Lower Platform of the ArcelorMittal Orbit and can be accessed via the lifts.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
