The Thames Rockets 80 Minute Thames Barrier Explorer Experience is a fast, fun and family-friendly speedboat ride packed with big smiles, big sights and even bigger thrills.

With 17 iconic landmarks, upbeat party tunes and a crew who know exactly how to keep everyone smiling, this is London sightseeing with a seriously exciting twist.

Your journey begins at the iconic London Eye, where your friendly crew welcomes you aboard your bright red Rocket speedboat- custom built and complete with mighty 880hp twin four-stroke engines. Safety briefing complete, the boat pulls away as your comedic guide brings London’s history to life with hidden tales, fun facts and plenty of humour that both kids and adults love.

As you sweep past landmarks like St. Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe, HMS Belfast, Canary Wharf and the historic maritime buildings of Greenwich, the scenery unfolds in the most exciting way possible, at speed. And once the skipper opens the throttles, the Thames becomes one giant adventure playground! You’ll feel the surge as the Rocket blasts down the river at up to 35mph, twisting, turning and dancing across the water to the soundtrack of feel-good party tunes. Kids love the excitement, adults love the views, and the whole boat gets swept up in the fun.

The route takes you all the way to the incredible Thames Barrier, a jaw-dropping piece of engineering and one of the most impressive sights on the river. This is a real ‘WOW’ moment! After taking in the view of one of London’s engineering giants, the boat turns to make the final stretch of the journey, another high-speed blast back towards central London.

This is a very popular experience, so to avoid disappointment it is recommended customers book at least two weeks in advance wherever possible.

During peak months (such as the summer holidays), availability can become more limited so booking 3-4 weeks in advance is recommended.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Suitable for all ages.
Adult: 15+
Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Guests aged 15 and 16 must have a minor disclaimer form filled out prior to the departure by a parent or guardian.
Expectant mothers cannot board at any stage of pregnancy.
If you have an existing medical condition which may be affected by this experience then you must consult your doctor before taking part. Boats can encounter unpredictable movement that can aggravate existing medical conditions.
Not suitable for anyone with historical or current backbone conditions or complaints.
This experience is suitable for wheelchair users however guests must come out of their chairs and be able to sit unaided.
Not advised for people suffering with heart conditions.
It is mandatory for all passengers to wear one of the providers industry standard lifejackets, adjustable with sizes up to a 61 inch (155cm) chest.
Waterproof sailing coat, ponchos and goggles available on site.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
