Important to Note

Car parking is available at Chinnor Station and is free for train ticket holders. The car park is on the right hand side as you proceed along Kiln Avenue.

Ample free car and coach parking is available at Furnace Sidings. When travelling to this railway, please use postcode NP4 9AX.

This voucher includes a breakfast sandwich and hot drink at the Station café.

Dietary requirements, such as gluten free options, cannot be catered for.

A trolley service of tea, coffee and snacks is available on some steam-hauled trains.

Who Can Go

Children up to 2 years of age go free of charge.
Ages 3 upwards will require a full ticket.
Accessibility at Chinnor Station: Level access suitable for wheelchairs is available via the old Station Approach road, and utilising a side-gate to the platform. Whilst parking is not generally allowed on this privately-owned road, passengers can be dropped off at the side-gate and then retrace your route and park up in the main station car park (and similarly return via the same route at the end of your visit). Access to the old Station Approach road is gained by turning right into the road on the Chinnor village side of the railway bridge and then along the front of the dental surgery. Please drive slowly, keeping a good lookout for children who often play in the area
Furnace Sidings: Disabled parking spaces (x3), accessible path to the station building, level access to both the Fireman’s Shovel tearoom and Eric’s Emporium gift shop within the station.
Toilet facilities for disabled visitors are available at both stations.
No toilets with disabled access are available on the train and this is due to the age and historic construction of the coaches.
If you are in a wheelchair but you can step aboard and move to a seat (via the narrow connecting doors of our heritage vehicles), then your wheelchair can be left on the platform at Chinnor under the watchful eyes of the Volunteer station staff.
On the train: If you are a wheelchair user please note that on steam-hauled services, availability is limited to ONE pre-booked wheelchair together with ONE accompanied Carer for travel in the Guard's brakevan. Here you will find a table at a window and non-slip flooring, plus a chair for one accompanying carer or companion. Access is via a ramp and it is your responsibility for boarding safely using the ramp.
The Station Cafe at Chinnor Station serves drinks and snacks. Most steam hauled trains offer a trolley service of tea, coffee and snacks during the journey.
Well behaved pet dogs are welcome and travel free. Do please consider other visitors and keep your dog on a short lead whilst on and about the stations and on the trains.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
