Do you dare discover what lurks behind the walls of a haunted prison after dark? Step inside one of Britain's most atmospheric former prisons for a spine-tingling ghost tour filled with chilling tales, mysterious sightings and centuries of dark history.

Choose between Shrewsbury Prison in Shropshire or Shepton Mallet Prison in Somerset, two historic prisons with haunting reputations and plenty of secrets waiting to be uncovered.

Armed with just a torch, you'll follow your guide through shadowy corridors, deserted prison wings and eerie cells as you uncover the darker side of life behind bars. Hear tales of crime, punishment and executions, alongside reports of unexplained footsteps, ghostly figures and strange happenings that have kept these prison legends alive.

At Shrewsbury Prison, discover stories of public executions and the mysterious Shadow Man, a shadowy figure said to roam the prison's corridors. Or venture into Shepton Mallet Prison, where over 400 years of history have given rise to chilling legends, including the tragic tale of the White Lady, whose spirit is said to haunt the former women's wing.

With every creaking door and darkened corner adding to the suspense, you'll never quite know what's waiting around the next bend. Is it simply your imagination playing tricks, or could there be something more?

Important Information

Please wear warm clothes and sensible shoes.

Please bring a low-level torch with you.

Shrewsbury Prison - Every Wednesday, 6.30pm & 8.30pm

Shepton Mallet Prison - Every Thursday, additional dates during school holidays, 6.30pm & 8.30pm

Please allow 1.5 hours for this experience.

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

  • Minimum Age: 12 years old
  • Under 18's must be accompanied by a full paying responsible adult.
  • Not suitable for wheelchair users.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

  • I'll be honest, I was surprised at how good this was! We had the tour of Shrewsbury prison and the guide was really informative and entertaining, the history of that place is so interesting. Well worth a visit.

  • We did the haunted ghost prison tour and had an amazing time, our guide was excellent and knew so much about the prison and its "ghosts". Even if ghosts aren't your thing, I think you'd still have a great time. The prison is well worth a visit in itself and Shrewsbury is a lovely town to wander around too.
