Extreme Aerobatic Flying Experience

If ordinary flying experiences sound a little tame, it's time to take things to the next level. This Extreme Aerobatic Flying Experience is designed for true adrenaline seekers, giving you the chance to fly one of the world's finest competition aerobatic aircraft before holding on tight for a series of gravity-defying manoeuvres that will test even the bravest of thrill seekers.

Your adventure begins by suiting up in a military-style flight suit and choosing your pilot name badge. After a detailed safety briefing and introduction to the aircraft, you'll climb into the front seat of the incredible Extra 300, with your expert instructor taking position behind you.

Once airborne, you'll be introduced to the controls and given the opportunity to fly the aircraft yourself. Feel how the Extra 300 responds as you make turns, climb, descend and experience the incredible precision of one of the world's top aerobatic aeroplanes. 

Once you've had your hands on the controls, it's time for the main event.

Your instructor will take over to perform the legendary Big Five Extreme Manoeuvres, each one more breathtaking than the last. You'll twist skywards in the Cravat, experience the stomach-flipping Inverted Loop, tumble through the spectacular Ruade, tackle the incredible Inverted Push-up to Lomcevak and finish with the unforgettable Mulleroid, combining powerful positive and negative G-forces in one spectacular finale.

You'll spend around 40 minutes in the aircraft, including approximately 20 action-packed minutes in the air, with every second packed full of excitement. After landing, your instructor will debrief the flight and present you with a signed certificate showing the G-forces you experienced during your adventure.

Think you've got what it takes? Complete all five extreme manoeuvres without backing out and you'll earn a place on the famous "Utter Nutter" Board of Fame - serious bragging rights for anyone who loves a challenge!

Example of what happens on the day:

• Get kitted out in military flight suit and choose your name badge
• Detailed safety/parachute and flying briefing before your flight
• 1 family member/friend can come out to the aircraft with you to take photos
• You sit in the front of the Extra 300 aircraft and your instructor sits in the back.
• Take-off and get to know the aeroplane: introduction to effects of controls – turning, climbing, descending.
• Fly some Aerobatics manoeuvres – yourself.
• Then it’s time for the challenge – can you handle THE BIG FIVE EXTREME MANOEUVRES? These will be flown by your instructor pilot.
• Instructor talks through Return to Base.
• Time in the aircraft is around 40 minutes (20 minutes in the air).
• Debrief with your instructor pilot after the flight
• Signed Flight Certificate detailing the G-Forces you pulled
• Have your name added to the “Utter Nutter” board of fame – but only if you completed all 5 extreme manoeuvres and didn’t chicken out
• Opportunity to purchase a video of your flight (price £69)

The flight experiences are delivered as Air Exercise 3 of the PPL syllabus by qualified Flying Instructors, and include a safety brief and explanation of how the flying controls operate. You will be shown how to fly the aircraft yourself under close supervision of your instructor, even if you have never flown in a light aircraft before.

Flights involving aerobatics and formation may involve greater risks than simple sightseeing trips, and guests will be required to sign a disclaimer to confirm that they understand and are comfortable with this.
