Father's Day Gifts - Liz

As a child, both for my brother and I, Father’s Day was about spending the day together and going for a family walk down our county’s iconic landmark Ironbridge in Telford. Which we did every year without fail, but we cherished it. We would then all get comfy at home and watch television together, whilst my old man fell asleep on the sofa.. or as he would mumble “I’m checking my eyelids for holes”

As we got older, like so many families, life became that little more busier and the memories made were not quite the same as they were when we were little. They became new slippers or a new aftershave or a new show car for his collection.

Although this is still thoughtful, I want to be able to look back at photographs and videos and see my dad smiling knowing that these moments will be remembered for a long time.

Whilst my dad was never ungrateful for what he received, the memories that we should be making have been replaced by material gifts. So this year, I want to ditch the norm and make some new memories for him, not only from my brother and I, but from his grandchildren as well!
