This full-day class is designed for total beginners, so there’s no need for any previous welding experience. Held in an authentic industrial workshop, participants will be guided by a team of professional welders who are there to make everyone feel welcome, confident, and safe.
The day kicks off with a short, easy-to-follow introduction to welding theory, just enough to get started. Then it’s straight into the action, using real MIG and ARC welding equipment to lay down some proper welds across different positions. It’s hands-on from the get-go and great fun, especially for those who like to get stuck in and try something new.
In the afternoon, it's time to put those new skills to the test by creating a couple of small welding projects. Whether it’s a decorative piece or a practical item, everyone gets to take home what they’ve made, a brilliant reminder of the day and a great conversation starter.
This experience is ideal for DIY enthusiasts, makers, or anyone curious about metalwork. It’s also a great gift for someone who’s hard to buy for, especially if they enjoy creative activities or fancy learning a practical new skill.
All tools, materials and PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, apron etc) is provided.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
