Step into the world of ITV’s beloved detective with the Vera Full Day Tour of Northumberland Locations.
Guided by coach, this full-day experience takes you across the breathtaking Northumberland coast, visiting more than 15 real filming sites from over ten years of Vera. From the rugged beauty of Lindisfarne Island, the fictional home of Vera Stanhope herself, to picturesque spots like Amble, Warkworth, Alnmouth and Bamburgh, you’ll follow in the footsteps of the no-nonsense detective in her trademark mac and rain hat.
You’ll have the chance to hop off at key locations, get up close to familiar scenes from the show, and capture plenty of photos to remember the day. Along the way, your guide will share behind-the-scenes stories about the making of Vera as well as fascinating history about the towns, villages and dramatic landscapes you pass through. The day is planned with rest stops and a lunch break, giving you time to soak in the charm of Northumberland while chatting with fellow fans.
Starting and finishing in the centre of Newcastle, this Vera tour combines TV magic with real-life adventure. It’s ideal for birthdays, Christmas, or treating a loved one who can’t get enough of crime dramas and coastlines.
The tour starts and ends in Newcastle Upon Tyne city centre:
Central Station Bewick Street (Stand N), Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5EF. The bus stop is located half way along Bewick Street, 2 minutes walk from Newcastle Central Station where you will find your guide and coach waiting for you.
Please note that depending on tides permitting access to Holy Island, the tour may take place in reverse order.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
