The Main Event

The Doc Martin Locations Walking Tour in Port Isaac combines TV nostalgia with breathtaking scenery. Ideal for fans of the hit series or anyone who loves exploring charming coastal villages, this experience offers something truly memorable.

Set in the real-life village of Port Isaac – known to viewers as Portwenn – this guided walking tour takes you through the most iconic filming spots from Doc Martin. You’ll see Dr. Martin Ellingham’s surgery, Louisa’s school, Mrs. Tishell’s pharmacy and more, with plenty of time to soak up the stories behind the scenes. The guides are full of fun facts and fascinating trivia about the show, including how the village was transformed during filming and what it was like having a TV crew in town.

Even if you’ve never seen an episode, the tour is a wonderful way to discover one of Cornwall’s prettiest fishing villages. With its whitewashed cottages, narrow lanes and sweeping sea views, Port Isaac is the kind of place that feels like stepping into a storybook. It’s a slower pace of life, one best enjoyed on foot, camera in hand, stopping for a pasty or cream tea along the way.

This tour doesn’t just highlight the TV magic, it also brings to life the real history of the village. From its maritime past to its rise as a modern tourist hotspot, you’ll hear tales of Port Isaac’s fishing heritage and discover quiet corners with views that are nothing short of spectacular.

Perfect for couples, families or solo explorers, the Doc Martin tour is a brilliant way to experience Cornwall from a new angle. It’s thoughtful, scenic, and packed with character, making it a fantastic gift for birthdays, anniversaries or just because. Whether you’re gifting it or joining in yourself, it’s a walk you won’t forget.
