The Main Event
This is the best, unique experience you can do if being creative and crafting items is your dream!
Set in an old forge in Herefordshire, this Sword Making for two adventure is perfect for those wanting to make their own sword, or even create a family crest sword for display pride of place at home!
Available for up to six people, you and your friends will spend two days with a team of expert blacksmiths that will guide and support you through the process of making your very own bespoke sword. There’s even a chance to engrave family emblems, crests or initials to commemorate the special occasion!
Suitable for children too, this experience will fascinate as they see a real life blacksmith in action including history, science, maths and metalwork design all ready to be learnt.

This experience is available daily.
1 day experience for groups of 4 people or more, 2 day experience for groups of less than 4 people.
Validity
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
Who Can Go
- Over 7.
- The forge site is partially wheelchair friendly, and the forge team will try and cater for your requirements. Please discuss this at the time of booking the experience.
- Bookings should be made around 8-10 weeks in advance and are subject to availability.
- Long sleeves, trousers and trainers/boots are advised. Long hair must be tied back and rings, watches or bracelets removed in the workshop as these pose a snagging hazard.
- Personal protective equipment is provided on arrival.
What about Insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
