The Main Event
This is the perfect experience for anyone that enjoys getting their hands dirty and really getting involved!
Whether it’s a gift for your dad, or maybe a treat for yourself, there’s nothing more fun that going to an old forge to bash some metals and really let the sparks fly as you make your own hammer!
Based in Herefordshire, we offer a one day course which is led by professional blacksmiths to help you through each process in the design and forging elements. With a choice of different types of hammer heads you can make, you will also be able to fit a handle to the hammer if time allows.
7 hours of expert tuition will leave you tired but happy in the memory that not only have you had an incredible day but you also get to take your very own hammer home!

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
Who Can Go
- For 7 years and over.
- Under 18s should be accompanied by an adult.
- The forge site is partially wheelchair friendly, and the forge team will try and cater for your requirements. Please discuss this at the time of booking the experience.
- Bookings should be made around 8-10 weeks in advance and are subject to availability.
- Long sleeves, trousers and trainers/boots are advised. Long hair must be tied back and rings, watches or bracelets removed in the workshop as these pose a snagging hazard.
- Personal protective equipment is provided on arrival.
What about Insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
How it Works
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
