The adventure begins bright and early as you leave Edinburgh behind and roll towards the Kelpies. Standing 30 metres tall, these shimmering giants are the largest equine sculptures on the planet. They celebrate both Scotland’s horse-powered industrial past and the legendary water spirits said to lurk in the lochs and rivers. Even if you’ve seen photos before, nothing beats standing beneath them and feeling just how enormous they really are.

From there, the road leads west through Scotland’s central belt to the “Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond”. You’ll pause at Balmaha, a charming spot with glorious views of Ben Lomond rising above the water. If you fancy stretching your legs, there’s an optional woodland walk that rewards you with those postcard-worthy scenes the loch is famous for. It’s easy to see why it inspired one of the world’s best-known songs.

After soaking up the fresh air, the afternoon shifts gears as you arrive in Stirling. This is your chance to explore one of the most significant spots in Scottish history. You can visit the towering Stirling Castle (entry not included), where monarchs were crowned and battles were fought, including moments tied to William Wallace and the Wars of Independence. If castles aren’t your thing, the town itself is full of heritage, scenery and inviting cafés to wander between.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
