The Main Event

This six-hour taster workshop is the perfect way for beginners to learn about the fascinating world of silver clay.

During this fun and relaxed workshop, you will learn the basics of working with silver clay and create pieces of beautiful jewellery to take home at the end.

The workshop covers all the important skills you need, starting with how to handle the silver clay properly through to rolling the clay evenly for a perfect finish, adding interesting textures, shaping, cutting, and even creating your own mould using a moulding compound.

You'll be able to make a charm or pendant to attach to a necklace chain or earring hooks. Keep them nice and simple or textured with embellishments, it's up to you. Either way you'll have a totally unique piece that you've made yourself! After firing and polishing, you'll be able to take your finished pieces home in a jewellery box for safe keeping or gifting.

The jeweller who runs this experience was recently recognised with the People’s Choice Award for Collection of the Year at the Professional Jeweller Awards 2025. Held at the prestigious Royal Lancaster Hotel in Hyde Park, he found himself up against some of the biggest names in the industry. To his surprise, his After the Fire collection, a stunning trio of necklace, bracelet, and earrings, captured the judges’ attention with its craftsmanship and creativity, earning him this well-deserved accolade.

Important Bits

Important to Note

Please be aware that you will not be able to make stud earrings or rings in this workshop.

A standard 18” chain is included, as are basic jump rings and ear hooks. However, if you wish to bring your own, that’s fine, you'll be given help to attach them.
Alternatively, other chains can also be purchased or ordered on the day at an extra cost.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided during the workshop.

There will be a lunch break so please bring a packed lunch with you.

This is a 6 hour workshop: 10am to 4pm

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Minimum age for this workshop is 14 years old.
Under 16's will not be able to fire their own pieces using a butane torch. Under 16’s work will be fired in a kiln or, alternatively an accompanying adult can fire their pieces for them. Whichever method is chosen, their work should still be available to be taken away on the day.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
