Silver Clay Taster Workshop in Hull

For the person who's always dreamed of creating their own jewellery, this silver clay taster workshop would make the perfect gift.

During the 3 hours, they'll learn the basics of working with silver clay and how it can be used to create beautiful pieces of jewellery. No experience is necessary as they'll be guided by an experienced metal clay artist with many years in the industry. All tools and equipment will be provided, including enough silver clay to produce 1 to 2 pieces of jewellery, depending on the size of their pieces.

Techniques they'll learn include cutting and texturising the silver clay and getting it ready for firing. It's the firing process that transforms the clay into silver. Then it's on to the polishing to get their silver pieces shining bright. A chain and a bail is included so they could take home their finished creation around their neck or keep it safely in the gift box also provided.

The jeweller leading this workshop was recently recognised at the Professional Jeweller Awards 2025, where he won the People’s Choice Award for Collection of the Year. Held at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in Hyde Park, the event saw him up against some of the biggest names in the industry. His stunning After the Fire collection, featuring a necklace, bracelet and earrings, caught the judges’ attention and earned him the well-deserved win, much to his own surprise.
