Explore the Lake District, famous for its picturesque landscapes and quaint market towns, it's England's largest National Park.
When you arrive in Oxenholme, you'll be greeted by your local guide who will lead you through the charming and creative Lake District, known for its ties to beloved children's author Beatrix Potter.
The tour will then take you to the serene Tarn Hows for a photo opportunity, followed by a visit to the Langdale Valley.
Travel to the charming medieval village of Hawkshead, where you'll have time to explore before heading to Hill Top Farm, the former home of Beatrix Potter.
Your adventure continues with a tranquil cruise on Lake Windermere, showcasing the region's breath taking beauty. Following this, enjoy a quintessential cream tea at the Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel, a property once owned by Beatrix Potter.
Relish tea and scones while taking in the vistas of the countryside that inspired many of her beloved novels. Then head off to a three star hotel for a well earned rest!
Day 1
Outbound: Train departs London Euston: 08:30 / arrives Oxenholme: 11:08
Please note that the train journey is unescorted in Standard Class.
On arrival at Oxenholme station in the Lake District on Day 1, you will be met by your tour guide and start your Lake District guided tour. The itinerary is subject to change, and all stops are subject to availability.
Your overnight stay will be at a local three-star hotel.
Day 2
Day 2 is unguided and you are free to explore at your leisure before making your way back to Oxenholme to travel back to London.
Return Journey: Train departs Oxenholme: 18:30 (18:26 Sat) / arrives at London Euston at 21:20
Until February 2025 this tour will operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays only.
This tour will not run from the 20th December to the 5th January 2025.
