Private Welsh Cooking Masterclass & Lunch

This Welsh Cooking Masterclass with Lunch is the perfect treat for food lovers. Taking place in the welcoming home of TV chef and author Nerys Howell in the leafy Cardiff suburb of Radyr, this unique experience combines Welsh hospitality, delicious flavours, and plenty of fun.

Guests will be greeted with a warm Welsh welcome, a cup of Welsh tea or coffee alongside homemade cake, before the cooking masterclass. Nerys, whose cookbooks celebrate both traditional and modern Welsh dishes, shares her expert tips as you help her prepare a menu of classic recipes. You'll learn about the stories and heritage behind the dishes that make Welsh cuisine so special.

Guests can choose from one of Nerys’ three carefully crafted menus. From hearty favourites like leek and Welsh cheese soup or Glamorgan sausages, to seasonal specialities featuring laverbread, Pembrokeshire potatoes, and Caerphilly cheese. Desserts are a highlight too, with traditional bara brith served with Welsh butter, indulgent rhubarb traybake, or the delightful Merlyn’s magic berries.

After the cooking is complete, guests sit down together to enjoy a leisurely lunch, perfectly paired with a glass of Welsh cider.
