The Main Event

The perfect introductory flight for any flying enthusiast, you can choose from a 45 minute, 60 minute or 90 minute flying lesson.

The flight instruction programme kicks off with an initial flight that allows the learner to experience the unique thrill of flying. This is followed by the opportunity to take the pilot's seat upfront.

With the instructor positioned behind, the learner will start with fundamental exercises to master aircraft control. It takes 10-15 hours of instruction before a learner is ready for their first solo flight.

Post-solo, learners will accumulate solo flying hours, both within and beyond the training circuit, while tackling more complex manoeuvres, including emergency responses. The duration of training varies, extending until the learner is ready for the General Skills Test.

Instruction also includes navigation training—learning to fly at appreciable distances from the base airfield without losing one’s way. Equally crucial is mastering the skill of landing adeptly.

Important to Note

Please note that microlight flying is weather dependent, and that the conditions will be assessed by the instructor only the day before at the earliest. We will only fly if the conditions are suitable to be sure you have a safe and enjoyable flight.

If your flight is cancelled due to poor weather conditions then you will be offered alternative dates.

When

7 days per week flying, including Saturdays and Sundays.

Times can be booked to suit your schedule.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Maximum weight limit: 17st (110kg)
Minimum age is 10 years old.
Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Participants should be fit and healthy. Please advise when booking if you are not sure how an impairment or health condition might affect the participant’s eligibility to fly.
The experience provider reserves the right to refuse to fly any participant who: does not meet the restriction requirements, has consumed alcohol or drugs, refuses to follow reasonable health and safety instructions, behaves anti-socially or aggressively to staff or other passengers.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
