The Main Event
For all the budding helicopter pilots out there, this helicopter trial lesson provides a great introduction to flying with 1 to 1 tuition from experienced instructors.
With the whole experience lasting around 60 minutes, the lesson begins in the classroom where you'll learn the basics of flying a helicopter before getting to enjoy 25 minutes of flight time with hands-on learning where you get to take the controls of the helicopter.
Qualified CAA-approved instructors will tailor the training to create a safe and enjoyable learning experience.
You'll be learning in Guimbal Cabri G2 is a two-seat light helicopter manufactured by Hélicoptères Guimbal, and powered by a reciprocating engine. The first demonstrator flew in 1992 and the Cabri G2 entered commercial service in 2008. This modern helicopter has no maximum seat weight limitation.

All aircraft are subject to weight & balance limitations, both for individual passenger weights and the combined weight of all passengers flying.
There is no maximum seat weight for this helicopter as long as both you and the instructor fit comfortably in the cabin and are within the total weight and balance limitations.
When
This experience is subject to availability and flights normally operate on a daily basis between the hours of 10am and 4pm.
Flights are subject to suitable weather conditions. In the event of unsuitable weather, you will be offered an alternative date by the experience provider.
It is recommended to book at least 2 weeks in advance for a better chance of getting the date you want.
Total experience time: 45 to 60 minutes.
Total flight time: 25 minutes.
Validity
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
Who Can Go
- No minimum age but the student must be physically able to reach and operate all of the controls safely.
- If you do not speak English fluently we may not be able to instruct you effectively, in which case you may not be allowed on the controls.
- All passengers must have photographic ID with them for the day of the flight.
- Flights are weight critical and all passenger weights must be provided when booking your flight date.
- Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is cancelled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
- There are certain health restrictions which may prevent you from flying, these include; Limited Mobility, Epilepsy, Heart Conditions & Pregnancy. If you have concerns that you may not be able to fly we would suggested seeking advice from your Doctor.
- The experience provider reserves the right to refuse any passenger boarding the aircraft in the following circumstances: late arrival to terminal, failure to provide photo ID when required, when intoxicated, when displaying threatening or abusive behaviour towards staff and /or other passengers, any behaviour that may compromise passenger and/or pilot safety on-board the aircraft.
- If you are refused access to the flight, you will not be entitled to a refund.
- The Captain of the aircraft is in command and his/her instructions should be obeyed at all times. Any interference with the operational safety of the aircraft, its passengers or cargo could result in immediate landing and prosecution by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
What about Insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
