The Main Event

This charming two-hour orchard visit is all about meeting some incredibly cute animals and enjoying a moment of calm in the countryside. It's perfect for animal lovers aged 9 and over.

The highlight of your visit is a 30-minute micro pig encounter, where you’ll spend time with the resident piggies from the April 2020 litter. These aren’t tiny piglets, they’re fully grown micro pigs, roughly the size of a small dog, with big personalities and plenty of charm. They can even perform tricks!

Your experience begins with a short introduction from a friendly pig handler, who will show you how to interact with the pigs safely and comfortably. Once you’re settled in, you’ll have the chance to tickle their tummies and brush their coats while learning more about these fascinating animals.

As with any animals, the pigs like to do things on their own terms. They may wander over for attention, or they may simply potter about nearby. They’re not fans of being picked up, but they do enjoy a good brush or belly tickle. And keep an eye on your shoes, a mischievous nibble from one of the piggies (Rodney Trotter in particular) isn’t unheard of.

Your visit doesn’t stop with the pigs either. During your time at the orchard you can also meet the other free-range animals, including Teddy Bear sheep, alpacas, Valais Blacknose sheep (often called the cutest sheep in the world), miniature donkeys and playful pygmy goats. You’ll receive a bag of animal feed so you can treat the animals as you explore.

And of course, no countryside visit would be complete without tea and cake, which you can enjoy at the cosy on-site café during your stay.

Tea & Cakes: You can enjoy your tea and cakes in the Mini Café after your micro pig encounter.

Included with this voucher is a bag of animal feed per booking to feed the donkeys, alpacas, chickens and turkeys.

What to wear
You must wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear for this experience (no flip flops, open toed sandals, ballet pumps or Crocs). Wellies are ideal if it’s been raining otherwise just a stout pair of shoes.

The orchard is not treated with chemicals so there are nettles and rabbit holes which may be hidden by foliage/flowers. You might prefer to have your legs covered.

This experience takes place outdoors and will go ahead even if raining.
In the event of torrential/heavy rain, the experience may be postponed.

Micro Pigs
You'll be meeting fully grown micro/mini pigs, which are about the size of a small dog. Please don't expect tiny piglets.

When

Available Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Time slots available are 10.30am and 1.30pm - subject to availability

Duration: 2 hours for the whole visit with 30 minutes for meeting the micro pigs.

Guests must arrive at the beginning of their booked 2 hour session.

Please note that your micro pig encounter will take place at some point during your visit and not necessarily at the beginning of your booked slot.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

For ages 9+ only.
Ages 9 to 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
You have to be steady on your feet and able to remain calm and quiet around the animals to take part.
Wheelchair users are welcome but please be aware that there is no tarmac or concrete anywhere in the orchard so it will be a bumpy ride. The ground will be muddy after it's been raining.
There are 2 steps up to the eco toilet.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
