During your adventure, you’ll be led by an expert instructor as you splash through rivers, scramble over rocks, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Welsh countryside. The combination of nature, fun, and a bit of a challenge makes gorge walking an unforgettable experience. This activity is suitable for all levels, and you don’t need to be an experienced swimmer to take part – as long as you're confident in the water, you're good to go!

This 2 hour session will take place at a scenic gorge location, provided upon booking, ensuring a unique adventure in some of the most picturesque spots in North Wales. Perfect for those aged 8 and up, it’s an excellent way to make memories with your loved ones while exploring the natural beauty of Wales.

This is a shared experience, so you’ll be joining fellow adventurers, adding to the excitement and fun of the day. With stunning scenery, a little bit of adventure, and plenty of laughs, gorge walking is a fantastic gift for birthdays, anniversaries, or just because. How many people can you take in one session?

This experience can include up to 30 people in a session.

Are there changing facilities?

This is an off-site activity so there are no toilets or changing facilities.

Do I need to be able to swim?

No, the ability to swim is not necessary but you must be confident in water.

What do I need to bring on the day?

You will need to bring a pair of trainers you don’t mind getting wet (no open toes, sandals, crocs), swimwear, towel and a pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit.

Is this available all year round?

This experience is unavailable for a 2 week break over the Christmas period, please call to check availability prior to booking.

Do I need to arrive earlier than my start time?

No, you need to arrive at the start / arrival time listed on your confirmation email. There is a strict time schedule and failure to arrive on time will result in your session being cancelled.

Can I wear my glasses?

It is strongly recommended to not wear glasses for your safety and comfort.

Is there any parking on site?

Gorge Walking is an off-site activity, you will receive a ‘What3words’ with the meeting location prior to arrival. From this parking cannot be guaranteed and please allow plenty of time for this especially at weekends and throughout the summer months as Llangollen is a popular tourist destination.

Can I take part if I am pregnant?

No, you should not attend this activity if you are pregnant.

Should I bring my medication with me

The instructors carry dry bags, so if you think you may need your medication with you whilst out on session, then bring it with you and ask your instructor to keep it safe.

Will my activity be cancelled in bad weather?

Sometimes. On the rare occasion where the weather makes it impossible to provide your activity within the strict safety guidelines, the experience provider may need to postpone. The experience partner will contact you as soon as possible if they need to reschedule your booking
