This experience includes a two-course garden lunch, garden talk over coffee and a guided tour of the elegant grounds of a Yorkshire Estate.
Each lunch is themed on a different topic, whether it be on the parkland and lakes, or the walled garden. You'll be given an insight into the estate's gardening style, and guests will be given a tour up to the parkland to view the daffodils or rhododendrons and azaleas.
The menus for garden lunches will include several ingredients from the garden, with recipe cards from the Executive Chef. The garden team will explain the choice of produce, with tips for cultivation and harvesting, cooking or preserving.
Arrive at 12.15pm to tea and coffee in the Drawing Room. With lunch served at 1pm in one of the estate’s ‘Estate to Plate’ restaurants, where the menu utilises produce from the Walled Garden and the wider 20,000 acre estate.
One of the family members will lead a talk on the history of the house and gardens followed by a guided walk* round the Walled Garden and Lakes, finishing between 4pm and 4.30pm.
*Please note that the guided walk may not be suitable for those who are less fit or have restricted mobility due to the uneven terrain.
This is a seasonal experience, available on selected dates throughout the summer months.
Dates fill up quickly so booking in advance is recommended.

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
My friends and I had a wonderful day at the Swinton Estate, apart from the rain! Lady Susan was a wonderful host, the staff and food were excellent. We were very much looking forward to it and were not disappointed.
