Departing from central London by luxury coach, you’ll be whisked away to the heart of the Cotswolds. First stop: the iconic Downton Village. With an expert guide by your side, you’ll stroll through the real-life village of Bampton, where familiar landmarks from the show await. From the church and post office to the village hospital and Isobel Crawley’s home, it’s a treat for the eyes and a thrill for any true fan. You'll even be shown stills from the series to compare as you walk.
After time to explore the village on your own, the tour continues to the crown jewel of the day, Highclere Castle itself. Known to millions as Downton Abbey, this grand stately home is packed with both real-life history and on-screen magic. You’ll have around 2 to 2½ hours to soak it all in, with a self-guided sheet pointing out the Library, Drawing Room, Saloon, Dining Room and more, all recognisable from some of the show’s most iconic scenes.
There’s time to enjoy lunch (bring your own or grab a bite at Highclere), and then it’s back to London, filled with stories, snapshots, and memories.
