This 1 hour indoor session takes place on a purpose-built 15ft wall, so it’s all about learning the ropes (literally) without the fear factor. Under the guidance of friendly, highly qualified instructors, participants will start with a full safety briefing before gearing up and learning how the ropes, harness, and abseil system work. Then comes the best part, the first descent!
Each person gets around 3-4 turns on the wall during the session, so there’s plenty of time to practise, improve, and have a laugh along the way. The instructors are there for every moment, offering tips, reassurance, and the occasional cheer when someone takes that confident step backwards for the first time.
This experience is brilliant for complete beginners, nervous first-timers, or anyone gearing up for a charity abseil and wanting a little practise beforehand. It’s also a great way to try something new and conquer a fear of heights in a controlled, encouraging environment. By the end, most people are surprised by just how much fun it is and how quickly their confidence grows!

Participants will normally get 3-4 abseils each depending on the speed of the group on the day.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
