Today we are talking to our newest team member at Wonderdays; Customer Experience Champion Natalie for her Top 5 Wonderdays Experiences!
If a cool, crisp gin is your thing then look no further than the Bombay Sapphire Distillery Tour!
Having visited here myself twice (yes, it’s that good), I can highly recommend this unique experience set in the quaint village of Laverstoke. Not only will you immerse yourself in all things ‘GIN’ but you will also get to enjoy a tour of this impressive distillery, learning all about the origins and history of the brand ‘Bombay Sapphire’ and what inspired them to deliver their distinctive taste and flavour varieties!
With this experience you have the option to add a Cocktail Masterclass which I can personally recommend – it's so much fun! You get to make your own signature Bombay cocktail and learn lots of amazing tips and tricks to make your own fancy drinks at home! Let’s face it, home measures are better than pub measures!
Following the tour and optional masterclass you can enjoy a delicious G&T or a cocktail or two in their swanky cocktail bar & outside veranda which overlooks the River Test and surrounding countryside. Whether you’re enjoying your own company or spending time with a loved one, family or friends, you are sure to have a fantastic experience. They also have a gorgeous boutique shop on site where you can purchase bottles of your favourite tipple and other Bombay Sapphire memorabilia (a little bit dangerous to be honest) and you can then finish the day relaxing in the comfort of a local 4*Hampshire Hotel for 1 or 2 nights making this a truly relaxing escape.
I highly recommend it if you want a weekend away with a difference!
Having done ziplining before which is a really fun and exciting experience, I have never done ziplining in a cavern and so I chose this as I feel this would be perfect for those who fancy a little bit more of an adrenaline kick!
There’s nothing quite like whizzing through the air at speed and I felt this was something a little different! What attracts me to this experience is that it is the world’s largest underground zipline and is also set in the breath taking North Wales area which is one of my favourite places to visit!
This is definitely on my ‘to do list’ this Summer.
London Sightseeing River Cruise with Afternoon Tea
Lets face it, who doesn’t love an afternoon tea?! And what better way to enjoy afternoon tea than cruising down the River Thames taking in the sights of the UK’s Metropolis?
I’ve enjoyed many an afternoon tea in my time (I really need to lay off the cakes), but this is an experience I know I would truly enjoy. London is a buzzing city with so much to do and what better way after trotting around the designer shops than relaxing on a river boat enjoying a cuppa and some scrummy cake and having a good chin wag with your family or friends.
I chose this as I have personally always wanted to try surfing! I love the water and have tried things like paddleboarding, white water rafting and kayaking in the past but am yet to try this thrilling sport!
What attracted me to this is that it’s for complete beginners like me so I won’t feel out of my depth (see what I did there?) and you have highly qualified staff on hand to guide you through the lesson and all equipment is provided too!
Maybe you should ‘take the plunge’ too?
I’m an absolute sucker for a Spa Day!
Whilst I love to be active, I am all about the ‘chill’ too so for me there is nothing better than spending the day getting in the ‘zen’.
Q Hotels are located in various areas and their experience days not only allow you to use their full spa and leisure facilities, but you also get to enjoy a treatment to boot.
You get to choose a 30, 60, 90 or 120 minute treatment (the longer the better for me) and you also have the option to add a light lunch and glass of prosecco.
