From the moment you meet your wonderfully costumed witch guide at London Bridge, you’re swept into a world of suspicion, scandal and storytelling. Expect plenty of laughs and some surprising historical truths as you wander through Southwark’s cobbled streets.

Along the way, you’ll pass some of London’s most iconic landmarks. Marvel at the secrets hidden within Southwark Cathedral, stroll past the replica Tudor ship Golden Hinde, and soak up the atmosphere around Shakespeare's Globe. You’ll even cross the instantly recognisable Millennium Bridge, with views stretching across to the magnificent St Paul's Cathedral. Keep your eyes peeled, fans of Harry Potter might spot a familiar filming location or two.

But the real magic lies in the stories. Hear the gripping tales of London’s accused witches and decide for yourself what you believe. Was Nicholas Culpepper a rebellious herbal genius or something more sinister? Did Elizabeth Barton truly possess divine powers? And what of Jinny Bingham, ominously nicknamed “Mother Damnable”? Your guide brings these characters vividly to life as you wander down Winchester Walk, edge around Borough Market and clatter along Clink Street.

Meeting Point: Meet your witch at The Southwark Viewpoint, opposite Southwark Cathedral’s entrance.

Tour Finishes: At Peter's Hill, across Millennium bridge (opposite St. Paul’s Cathedral).

The tour involves walking 0,9 mile over 1 hour and 10 minutes, but it’s a relaxed pace through the city.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
This is a step free tour but does include cobbled streets and uneven surfaces.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Please note this is an outdoor walking tour so please dress for the weather.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
