This experience can take place in and around Northumberland and the North Pennines.
Adverse Weather Conditions
This experience will go ahead come rain or shine. However, in the event of adverse weather conditions, such as thunderstorms, flooding, or high surf, your experience may be postponed or moved to an alternative location.
Please let us know of any health conditions or concerns upon booking.
This experience runs seven days a week at various time slots throughout the day - subject to availability and appropriate weather conditions.
Experiences that include waterfall pools and river pools can only take place between May 1st and September 30th.
Sea swimming experiences can take place all year round but are very dependent on the weather and sea conditions.
Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.
Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

What do I need to bring with me?
A swimsuit or shorts for the water. Feel free to wear a burkini, t-shirt and shorts, or leggings.
Waterproof walking boots or shoes, as it can get very muddy.
Warm, comfortable clothes for walking.
An extra warm layer to wear after wild swimming.
A waterproof jacket.
Waterproof over-trousers if the weather is bad. We'll be going out rain or shine unless there's a storm!
A warm hat for the wind and to warm up after the swim.
Gloves, as your hands can get surprisingly cold after swimming, even in the summer.
A sun hat and sunglasses on sunny days.
Walking socks.
Rucksack.
Walking poles if needed.
Swimming or diving shoes to protect your feet from rocks and weever fish.
Swimming or diving gloves to keep your hands warm.
A wetsuit for winter and early spring swims.
A towel or changing robe.
A flask for a hot drink post-swim.
A water bottle, at least 1 litre in size.
A filled hot water bottle if you feel you need it.
A sit mat to keep your bum dry.
Sunscreen, at least SPF 30.
Plenty of food and snacks.
A swim hat to protect your hair if desired.
Any medications you might need on the day.
Hayley gave us a truly unforgettable experience, we were way out of our comfort zone, but at no point did we feel unsafe, this is because she was constantly watching how we were reacting. Fantastic cold water swimming in literally breathtaking surroundings. Ten out of ten.
I was given a Christmas present of a voucher to go Wild Water Swimming in Northumberland and chose to go to the North Pennines to swim in a couple of waterfall pools. Along with 2 friends we were guided by Hayley and had the most fabulous day. After a gentle walk to a secluded stretch of river, we went for a dip in the first of the waterfall pools. It wasn't as cold as expected and we just reverted to being kids laughing and playing in the water! Hayley then took us to our second swimming pool - another waterfall and even more secluded. It was just perfect! Hayley took everything at our pace and made the day such a wonderful experience. If you like swimming and the outdoors this trip is highly recommended.
Honestly an amazing experience. Its hard to put into words the feeling you get from an activity like this. My mam (60) absolutely loved it and found it so invigorating. I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to cold water but I'm so glad I gave this experience a go. There is just something wonderful about swimming beside a waterfall. The walk was also wonderful. Beautiful scenery and nature. Hayley is a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about the area and the experience and just generally lovely to talk to. Would definitely recommend this experience as an opportunity to step away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy being part of nature. We were given this experience as a Christmas gift by my dad and we've praised him big time for it.
This wild swimming experience was everything we had hoped it would be. Hayley was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area and a wonderful guide. The walk to the waterfall swim area was across country but not too taxing, and when we arrived it was such a beautiful spot to swim in. I thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone looking for some wild swimming but in safe hands, as Hayley made sure we were safe and had a fantastic time. Plus the extra surprise at the end was fab!
It was a beautiful experience and I loved it. I hadn’t swim in a waterfall before but it was magical. Hayley knew the area well and made great recommendations. She checked the safety elements all the time and kept checking in to see if I was ok. I would definitely recommend it!
