If you’ve ever fancied yourself as a bit of an action hero, this is your chance to unleash your inner commander and get behind the wheel of not one, not two, but three incredible military vehicles, all on the same day.

Your adventure takes place at the Gatwick Aviation Museum, where the roar of engines and the smell of diesel set the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day out. Plus, your experience even includes free entry to the museum, so you can explore some seriously impressive aircraft before or after your driving session.

First up, take control of the Alvis CVR(T) Spartan Tank, known as the ‘sports tank’ thanks to its speed and agility. Don’t be fooled by its 8-tonne weight, this beast is powered by the same 4.2-litre engine as the legendary Jaguar E-Type. With fingertip steering and a top speed of over 50 mph (even in reverse!), this is tank driving like you’ve never imagined.

Next, hop into the driver’s seat of the Leyland DAF 45/150, affectionately nicknamed the “4 Tonner”. With more muscle than your average monster truck, this military workhorse is built to tackle any terrain. You’ll feel every ounce of its power as you rumble through the off-road course, mastering its controls and learning why it’s a true army legend.

To round things off, you’ll get behind the wheel of a genuine 90 Para Defender. This is your chance to experience the grit and determination it takes to handle a vehicle that’s seen action in some of the toughest conditions imaginable.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Minimum age: 18
UK driving licence required.
Minimum height: 5ft
Maximum height: 6 ft 4 in
Weight should be in proportion to your height.
You should be in reasonable health and able to climb in and out of the vehicle.
Not suitable for those with epilepsy, heart complaints or pregnant ladies.
Anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate.
Please ensure you wear long trousers and tough shoes for this experience.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
