One of the highlights? Climbing the 101 steps of St. George’s Tower for incredible panoramic views across Oxford. It’s the perfect reward before heading back down into the eerie candle-lit crypt, where myths and legends still linger in the shadows. Visitors can even step inside real 18th-century prison cells once occupied by desperate criminals and notorious inmates.
The guided tour lasts around 50 minutes, with plenty of opportunities afterwards to continue exploring the exhibitions and soak up the atmosphere of this remarkable site.

The tour includes a climb up 101 steps of St. George’s Tower for panoramic views of Oxford. However, children under 5 cannot climb due to safety reasons.
On-site parking is not available. City centre car parks and the Park & Ride are available.
