Your day begins with a red carpet welcome at your departure station, where you’ll be escorted aboard the Northern Belle’s opulent 1930s-style Pullman carriages. One of the liveried Stewards will guide you to your plush seat, where you can relax and enjoy the first of many highlights, a glass of champagne and caviar blinis.

As the train sets off, you’ll embark on a journey through the glorious British countryside, but it’s the sumptuous seven-course Christmas lunch that steals the show. As you settle into the rhythm of the journey, each course is expertly paired with the perfect wine chosen by the Sommelier.

Start with freshly prepared canapés, before moving on to a delicious Scottish salmon starter. The main course showcases the best of British produce, and is followed by a decadent dessert, before rounding off the meal with a festive cheese board, served with quince paste, candied walnuts and an assortment of crackers.

Relax and reflect on your incredible journey with Fortnum & Mason tea and delicate petits fours, as you soak in the spectacular views of the British countryside from the comfort of your luxurious surroundings.

Important to Note

The train is hauled by a heritage diesel locomotive. It is not steam hauled.

Dietary Requirements/Allergies
Please give at least 14 days notice (prior to travel) of any dietary requirements, such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten free.
It is not possible to provide meals that require strict religious observance in preparation.
Please note that due to the small preparation areas on the train, no cross contamination can be guaranteed so please advise of any serious allergic reactions when booking.

Seating Arrangements
All carriages are vintage pullman style. Each row of seats is a table for two and across the aisle a table for four.

Tables For Two
There are limited tables for two. There is a chance you may be sharing a table of four with another couple.
Subject to availability you may guarantee a table for two by paying a supplement of £105 per passenger when booking.
Bookings of five or six attract a surcharge of £210 for the use of the private table for two.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

The train carriages are not wheelchair accessible however folding wheelchairs can be stored during the journey.
Passengers are asked to adhere to a smart casual dress code, no jeans or trainers.
This is a non-smoking train and passengers are asked to turn off their mobile phones.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it Works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
