The Main Event

From historical accounts to contemporary insights, this walking tour appeals to all fans of London’s underground history. Discover the secrets of the world’s first underground railway on this captivating 2.5 hour walking tour.

Once you’ve delved underground, take a trip above ground to explore the London Transport Museum in the heart of Covent Garden. The museum reveals the story of London and its transport system over the past 200 years, showcasing the significant link between transport and the growth of modern London, its culture, and society since 1800.

Explore London’s heritage, its transport system, and the stories of those who have travelled and worked in the city over the last two centuries. Then, get a glimpse of how future technologies might impact London as we know it.

View the exterior of abandoned stations like Down Street, used by Churchill during the Blitz, and hear poignant stories like the 'Mind the Gap' widow’s tale and the creation of the Tube map. Explore hidden 'ghost' platforms out of public sight and marvel at the grandeur of the world clock in Piccadilly.
