Important to Note

The ghost bus tour last 1 hour 15 minutes, dependent on traffic. During this time, passengers do get the chance to get off the bus (dependent on weather and time) for a short walk to a graveyard for about 7 to 10 minutes.

Departure Point
The ghost bus tour departs from 8 Northumberland Avenue daily, outside the Grand Hotel, opposite the Sherlock Holmes Pub. Train stations in the immediate vicinity include Embankment tube station.

Customers are advised to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled tour date. The bus cannot wait for latecomers. There are no seat reservations, it is a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please be aware that due to the nature of city traffic and road closures it may not always be possible to see every landmark advertised on the route. The experience provider will always do its best to warn customers if this is the case but it may not always be possible.

When

The ghost bus tour is available daily at 7:30pm and 9pm.

Excluded dates: 24th, 25th and 31st December 2023.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

Who Can Go

Hotels featured in this experience are allocated subject to availability, under a non-amendable non-refundable basis once booked.
Extra nights available for a supplement. Extra adults/children available for a supplement.
There are no toilet facilities on the bus.
Due to the design of the classic Routemaster bus, unfortunately it has not been possible to make the entrance wheelchair accessible or to provide sufficient storage space on-board for wheelchairs (even when folded).
No alcohol is permitted on the bus, or is to be consumed on the bus.
Smoking, eating and drinks other than bottled water are not permitted on the bus.
No pets are permitted on the vehicle with the exception of service animals.
Ghost bus tour: Not suitable for young children aged 1 to 5 but can be allowed on board at parents’ risk.
Ghost bus tour: Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.

What about Insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

What type of hotel will I be staying in?

Hotels featured in this experience are allocated to you, subject to availability, under a non-amendable and non-refundable basis once booked.

You will be staying in either a 3* or a 4* hotel depending on what you have selected.

Can I stay an extra night or add another person to the stay?

Extra nights are available subject to availability for a supplement. Extra adults/children can be added subject to availability for a supplement.

Is breakfast included with my hotel stay?

Unless specified, breakfast is not included.

How do I book this experience?

You will need to fill out a booking form with the experience provider. This form will ask you for details such as your contact details, the name of the attraction you want to visit and whether you'd like this on the day of arrival or the following day, the number of rooms required, your preferred check in dates, and your WonderDays voucher code.

By submitting this form your WonderDays vouchers will become non-refundable and cannot be changed.

What happens next?

The experience provider will contact you within 72 hours to acknowledge your booking request. They will liaise with you to confirm entry to the attraction and which day you'd like to visit it on, as well as confirm your hotel location.

You will then be emailed a booking confirmation for your attraction and overnight stay. Please read this carefully as it will contain important information regarding your booking. Please keep an eye on your spam/junk folder in case your filter has placed them there.

When will I get my attraction tickets?

Your attraction tickets will be emailed to you within 48 hours of your arrival date, often sooner. These can be printed or shown on a mobile device.
