The Experience

Treat the young car fanatic in your life to this awesome Junior All Star Track Day experience and they will remember it forever!

No more watching the adults have all the fun…your child, 10 years and over, can really get to grips with over 60 cars to choose from with supercars and muscle cars all there to select.

With a full safety briefing, your child will be accompanied by a professional instructor who is DBS checked and really learn the ropes before whizzing round the track for 3 miles!

You have the option to upgrade to certain cars and a high speed passenger ride from a professional driver to really add some smiles to your day!

Selected dates run throughout the year at each venue.

Choose from weekday or weekend dates.

Booking around 3-6 months in advance is advised if you have a particular car choice and location in mind.

Your voucher is valid for 12 Months from the date of issue.

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.

  • Minimum age: 10 (under 18s need parental/guardian consent)
  • Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult (18+) who must remain on site for the duration of the experience.
  • Medical conditions such as heart problems, claustrophobia or epilepsy may increase your chance of having an accident - please check with the supplier prior to booking to see if you are suitable for this experience
  • Unfortunately, this experience is not suitable for those suffering with high blood pressure or for pregnant women
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover.

Some operators require customers to complete an indemnity/damage waiver form prior to taking the experience. This may state the driver is liable for a fixed amount of costs should they damage the vehicle whilst driving. Most operators are able to provide additional insurance to cover this at a small additional fee, payable on site. The purchase of this is optional and is in addition to the public liability insurance held by all venues. The full details of any indemnity or damage waiver and additional insurance will be provided by the activity operator. WonderDays is unable to advise or comment on the content or suitability of any such waiver or additional insurance.

FAQs

Yes, drivers can be as young as 10 years old, providing they can reach the pedals with the padding provided. 
Most of the trainers are ARDS or ADI qualified and all staff are police checked.

Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult (18+) who must remain on site for the duration of the experience.

There is a maximum weight limit of 20 stone for this experience.
The minimum height restriction for junior drivers is 135 cm. 
Maximum height restrictions will vary by vehicle. Anyone 6ft4 and above will most likely struggle in the majority of cars.

All costs are approximate and subject to change. The optional costs are not necessarily relevant to every car/experience.

Compulsory - Insurance waiver of £34 unless a credit card can be provided with a £5000 minimum limit.
Compulsory - Car Parking £2 per car 
Optional - Premium Car/ Track upgrades from £25 
Optional - Sighting lap £10
Optional - Extra lap £29
Optional – Photography & videos can be purchased on the day £20 - £60
Optional – Weekend upgrades (if purchasing a weekday voucher but booking a weekend date) from £25

Track upgrades

Some tracks are classed as "premium tracks" and require an upgrade charge:
Lincoln (Blyton Park) - £10 upgrade on weekdays.
"The Eboladrome" (Swindon) - £55 upgrade.

Chippenham (Castle Combe) - No upgrade fee. Available to junior drivers on specific event dates throughout the year. 

Yes but there is a £5,000 damage excess that is payable by the driver if any damage is caused whilst they are behind the wheel. You can cover yourself against the excess with an optional £34 damage waiver (available upon booking or on the day). This is a non-refundable payment. Please ensure you bring a credit card on the day if you are opting out of the damage waiver. This must be a card with a minimum £5000 limit. Please note the experience provider does not accept American Express. 

Yes, there are outside spectator areas. 

Unfortunately due to health and safety, you can’t sit in the car with your child.

Yes, there is a driving trainer sat in car with your child at all times, whilst out on the track.

Yes, all instructors have completed training to ensure that they can work with people with additional needs such as ADHD, autism and visual impairment.

For each supercar experience that you purchase, you will be allocated three miles per car. For example, if you purchase the triple supercar experience you will be allocated 9 miles in total. How long you are physically on the track really depends on how fast you want to drive!

Please be aware that all driving experiences are completely outdoors and open to the elements. It's always worth packing a coat or umbrella even if the forecast looks sunny as airfields and circuits tend to be very windy!

Drivers should wear sensible shoes or trainers for driving and comfy trousers. 

Yes, events are run in all weathers unless it is deemed so extreme that it is unsafe to be on the track.

Not at all, the trainers will help you enjoy the drive however you would like to.

As we use real cars which are driven with pedals, some cars will use dual pedal control, and some will have a handle that can be pulled for an emergency stop if danger arises.

Customers are advised to book all vehicles onto the same time slot however if you have more than three cars to drive, please DO NOT book the last session of the day. The time that you are choosing is your arrival time and will not be the time you start driving. Please be aware that you will need to allow up to 3 hours at the venue from your session start time to complete your experience.

  • Look, there's so much waiting on the day it's bonkers. Some cars had a 2 hour long queue, but they did offer swaps on the day readily which was good - you aren't tied Into the cars you choose when you book if there's big queues. They give you a 2 hour timeslot when you book, but say prepare to be on site for 3 hours (as you have to arrive 30 mins early), we were on site for over 4 hours.

    Having said that, the experience was good, my 11 year old loved driving the cars and doesn't remember the waiting around (his parents do though)

  • Booked this for my son’s 11th birthday. The whole thing was set up really well & didn’t have to wait long at all for his slots. He absolutely loved driving both cars & wants to do it all again! Overall a great day out!

  • Great day for a car lover. My son rode 3 of the cars - booked well in advance so he got the ones he wanted. Once we worked out where we had to go, it was well organised. Paid extra for a sighting lap and high speed, which he loved.
