Firefighter Experience Day

Whether you've always been obsessed with Chicago Fire, or it was your childhood dream to be a firefighter, this is your chance to experience all the action in the boots of a hero—minus the alarm clock going off at 3am.

The day kicks off with a warm welcome and a hot drink before you’re thrown into the thick of it—safely, of course. After a quick safety briefing and a look at how fire actually works (spoiler: it’s not just about chucking water at flames), it’s time to suit up in full firefighter gear. Helmet, flash hood, gloves, boots, and breathing apparatus—it’s all there. And somewhere in the middle of all that, you might just realise how good you look in uniform.

You’ll get hands-on with real firefighting equipment and take on live fire scenarios, rotating through roles like hose operator, breathing apparatus controller, and search and rescue lead. From tackling controlled blazes to navigating smoke-filled environments and locating ‘casualties’, this is the closest most of us will get to being a real firefighter—and it’s genuinely unforgettable.
