Step into the hilariously chaotic world of Fawlty Towers: The Play in London's glittering West End and relive the golden era of British comedy.
Adapted by comedy titan John Cleese from the "Greatest British sitcom of all time" (Radio Times), this stage version breathes new life into the beloved characters and escapades at the notorious Torquay hotel. With nearly 50 years since its television debut, the enduring charm and wit of "Fawlty Towers" are set to enrapture audiences all over again.
Imagine the unflappable Basil Fawlty, brought to life by Adam Jackson-Smith, navigating a minefield of comedic catastrophes with his formidable wife, Sybil, portrayed by the incomparable Anna-Jane Casey. Add Paul Nicholas into the mix as the lovably confused Major, and you're in for an unforgettable evening of laughter. The ensemble of 18 actors transforms into the cherished characters, promising a performance filled with memorable scenes straight out of the sitcom's iconic twelve episodes.
This isn't just a play; it's a comedy event of the year, a nostalgic trip down memory lane, and a fresh take on classic humour all rolled into one. Whether you're a die-hard fan of the original series or new to the antics of the Fawlty Towers crew, this play is an uproarious escapade through the mishaps and mayhem of hotel management. So, don your best laughter-ready attire and prepare for an evening where the world of Torquay's most chaotic hotel comes vividly to life on stage. It's time to book your tickets to Fawlty Towers: The Play – where the only thing to expect is a riotously good time!
